Berlin Fashion Week: Report

For us, fashion journalists, fashion weeks’ season is like Christmas. Our Santa Claus is… everyone all around the world who makes fashion. Our gifts are new people, new events, new fashion and, of course, new inspiration.

Let’s start our Fashion Weeks marathon with Berlin Fashion Week. Berlin is the city that has been separated into two parts after WW II and these parts grew differently. Now the cite is example of Modern Architecture and Modern People who aren’t afraid of experiments.

Inspiration for this collection was icon of Swinging London and model/actress Jean Shrimpton. So we see shapes and fierce colours of 60s.

KILIAN KERNER

Bright colours and prints are the main thing of this collection. On style.com it says inspiration was prada ss 96 collection. It’s very rare when designer puts other designer work as inspiration. I loved the prints, they are looking like they has been created under Gustav Klimt hand.

Totally in love with this collection. Love these prints so much. It looks like woman from 60s used time machine to came in 2015 but then she wasn’t able came back, so she created kind of inspired by modern woman 60s style!

I love use of denim(or denim colored wool, I don’t know right now) and great shaped coats. Coats are masterpiece. I want to have one in my winter 15/16 wardrobe. And the fact it’s inspired by Joan Miro is amazing!

See the full collection here. I liked backstage photos a lot on Hien Le fb, so I put above 3 of them. The collection has great nude, grey and cobalt blue shades. In my opinion, the best in this show is the line between sporty wear and casual clothes. All looks are so elegant even with having sporty details
